Dave Kluge is a multifaceted bassist, composer, and educator based in Rochester, N.Y. As an active freelance bassist, he performs with several ensembles in the Rochester area and enjoys collaborating with musician friends in a diverse range of projects. He has been commissioned by The Penfield Music Commission Project and has composed music for All-County orchestras as well as professional and student jazz ensemble, quartet, orchestra and choir. His compositions and arrangements have been performed at The Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival, Penfield Jazz Fundraiser, and All-County festivals.

Dave earned a BM in Music Education with a concentration in Jazz Studies from SUNY Fredonia and a MS in Music Education from Nazareth College. From 2007-2013 he taught instrumental music in the West Irondequoit Central School District. Since 2013, he has taught in the Rush-Henrietta Central School District where he serves as senior high school Orchestra Director. Dave and his wife Holly live in the Rochester area with their two sons.
